I’ll be playing cello in a few performances this fall! I’m very lucky to be a part of a diverse local music community in Edmonton, and to have these opportunities to explore different genres and ideas with friends old and new.

LitFest

Four Canadian authors will read excerpts from their recently published collections of poetry and essays. After each reading, Shawn and I will perform a song selected by the author that ties into their work, ranging from Deftones to David Bowie.

I’ll be joining i Coristi’s winter concert to perform Voces Lucis by Andrea Ramsey and A Winter Day by Sarah Quartel. I always love performing with choirs, and these lush pieces are a great way to set the tone for the upcoming season.

Sanrachna — The Weave

with Deepshikha Joshi

Deepshikha is a sitar player and Indian classical composer that I met last fall. This production features her compositions and incorporates cello, tabla, vocals, and dance. This is my first experience with Indian classical music and I’m excited about this crossover.

I have been performing with the Stringbeans Quartet since 2024. The Stringbeans formed in 1999 and bring an authentic spirit to performing retro tracks and contemporary pop. We are the preferred string quartet of the historic Fairmont Hotel Macdonald.
